The academy of Biomedical Sciences introduces high school students to the human body, cell biology, genetics, disease, and other Medical topics in the sequence of four courses. Through the innovative Project Lead the Way™ Biomedical curriculum students will explore topics related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics while making real-world connections through authentic assessments and project based learning. This program prepares students for postsecondary education and training necessary for success in a wide variety of positions: physician, nurse, pharmaceutical researcher, technician, etc. which will focus on the application of these principles to life sciences. These rigorous studies will culminate with their opportunity to acquire a Biomedical Assistant Certification through the BACE examination, offered exclusively through MAST@Homestead.
